Day 354: I had to pick up some of Martin’s heart medication to see us through the holidays. Denise always decorates the bag Martin’s pills come in. Today’s artwork was just perfect. We are so lucky to have such expert veterinary care for Martin from such nice people who really love their patients. Martin and I wish all a Merry Christmas.
117/365: Martin is feeling much better. I know if I ever give up woodworking I could become a professional dachshund swaddler.
111/365: Martin has been feeling a little sick with a bout of colitis but is on the mend after a trip to the vet for some meds to get his little guts back in order. I made that dovetailed cedar box 22 years ago. Many a sweet a dog have snuggled in it. I had to make those little stairs for Martin since he should not jump because of his weak heart, and since his legs are only four inches long.
108/365: This is Martin, he does not come out to the shop very often because there is no food there. He has a very serious heart murmur and is on many of the same medications that humans take for heart disease. Denise Dufour, a very talented veterinary cardiology technician/artist always makes a special dachshund drawing on the bag his meds come in, but today’s drawing is a masterpiece. It means so much to us because Martin is so fragile and everyday we have this sweet little guy is a gift.
